Dark Chocolate – Fruity-sweet, slightly tart with notes of red fruits and citrus, rounded off with floral pink pepper. The pepper grows together with the cocoa in mixed culture on Bejofo Estate.–Cocoa from Bejofo Estate, Madagascar –The organic certified plantation is located in the Sambirano Valley, in the north-west of Madagascar. Bertil Akesson's land extends over 2000 hectares and is divided into several small plantations. Since 1920, this farm has been growing the world's most aromatic cocoa, used by all the top chocolatiers in the world. In addition to the 300 tons of Trinitario cocoa that are harvested annually, a limited amount of Criollo cocoa, approx. 2 tons per year, used for the Akesson boards.
