This matcha was obtained from Gyokuro, a very sweet and subtle Japanese green tea, reduced to dust in a stone mortar. Since the whole plant is used and absorbed, this makes matcha the most concentrated tea in theine. It is used by Buddhist monks to better sustain their long hours of meditation. In the Japanese tea ceremony, 2 g of matcha should be poured with a bamboo scoop, or chashaku, into 200 mL of water at 80-90°C. Then lather for 1 to 2 minutes with a bamboo or chasen whisk, making "8" in the bowl.
