
This coffee from Colombia is decaffeinated with CO2, a natural method, but what does it consist of? The grains (still green) are washed by water at 31°C sent with very strong pressure. Under these conditions, CO2 has specific properties, on the one hand those of a gas, which allows it to penetrate the coffee beans, but also those of a liquid which dissolves 97 to 99% of the caffeine. A completely natural process, without the use of chemicals and solvents. This decaffeination technique has two advantages, the first as you will have understood, no harmful substances for your body and; the second, the guarantee of preserving the aromas of the coffee.
