Back Office 4

Back Office is an annual review between graphic design and digital practices. She explores the creative processes involved in the diversity of media and contemporary digital practices. By dealing with themes such as the relationship between code and form, the challenges of creative tools or the permeability of the media, it constitutes a unique space for reflection and a vector of international visibility for the French-speaking community. This fourth issue returns to the concept of movement applied to the digital field. Since the appearance of the animated GIF, passing through the evolution of television credits and changes in animation software, this issue offers an analysis of the process of constituting the animated image and questions its place in the digital world. How does movement now constitute a new language? How are typographers trying to adapt to this new paradigm? And how to understand this new balance between still image and moving image? Through seven articles and interviews, this issue attempts to provide answers to these questions and continues its exploration of the links between digital practices and graphic design. Collective
