Paris colors

In 1950s Paris, the geometric and colorful facades of color merchants catch the eye of young Balois Gérard Ifert. So at the very beginning of a career at the crossroads of design, design graphics and scenography, Ifert also strolls, photography. He thus records these chromatic compositions which he brings together works of Swiss concrete art. This amazing image collection reveals anonymous street art that has since disappeared and provides food for thought on the links between art and design, on the transformations of the urban landscape and the aesthetics of everyday life.
