Our 100% organic nesting material made from plant-based kapok wool is ideal for padding nest boxes. The kapok wool nesting material is super soft and pleasantly warm for the young animals. The plant wool even prevents bacterial herds in the nest box! An important advantage of our Erdenfreund® kapok wool is that it grows naturally on the kapok tree without any chemical treatment or pesticides. The plant wool is covered with a thin, imperceptible but water and moisture-repellent plant wax layer, which means that no moisture-related bacterial herds can form in the nest box! Important! Never use conventional cotton wool, twine or wool as nesting material, young animals get tangled up deadly in it! Kapok wool consists of thin and short fibers, which means that no young animal can become fatally entangled in it. You can use the biodegradable plant nesting material for many wild animals. Bumblebees and birds in particular love it. But also squirrels, dormice, hedgehogs & Co. like to equip their Kobel with the soft natural wool. Make your wild animal houses even more attractive for native wild animals and furnish the nursery directly with moisture-inhibiting, comfortable padding.
