Its gentle drying intensifies its piquant aroma, which harmonizes perfectly with lamb and game. Season your roast chicken to gourmet heaven with a wonderful herbal rub made from rosemary! The Mediterranean spice also cuts a fine figure on the grill: grilled meat, baked potatoes and vegetables can be given the finishing touch with a pinch of rosemary! Premium rosemary from the mountains of Greece We have been looking for an aromatic organic rosemary for a long time and finally found it in the Parnon Mountains! Thanks to the best growing conditions, it has an unmistakably resinous, tart aroma and differs significantly from standard rosemary. The subshrub loves calcareous soil and prefers a sunny spot. Just don't let the roots get too wet. This makes the location on Mount Parnon ideal: rainwater can drain off well on the steep slopes. The processing requires a lot of love and manual work. The needles are harvested several times a year at the best time and gently dried at around 40°C. As a result, the aroma of the rosemary is fully preserved. Organic rosemary from Mount Parnon Our Mediterranean organic rosemary grows in the majestic Parnon Mountains. Anyone who "lost" here as a Greece tourist will be rewarded with a picturesque rocky backdrop that is penetrated by caves and gorges: This is the outstanding natural landscape of the Parnon Mountains - in Greek Párnonas Πάρνωνας called. During a hike you will find yourself in a landscape that very few holidaymakers would expect: A green mountain world with dense coniferous forests. Thanks to numerous rivers that spring from the mountains themselves and carry water all year round, Mount Parnon shines in full plant splendour! Our ORGANIC rosemary also feels right at home here: Thanks to the clear mountain air, steep slopes and calcareous soil, the herb unfolds its full aroma. The locals love their diverse world of herbs, which is an integral part of the local cuisine: the traditional chortopitakia are particularly recommended. These are small pies fried in fat with wild vegetables and wild herbs. Of course, the rosemary should not be missing here! Our partner: Elias Elias is the patron saint of Parnon herbs: he and his company have set themselves the task of making the outstanding spices and teas accessible throughout Europe. But this decision required all the courage of the organic farmer. When he founded his company in 2013, he could already look back on 10 years of experience in the cultivation of herbs. Nevertheless, at the time of the Greek economic crisis, this step involved a great deal of willingness to take risks. But the passion for the Parnon herbs outweighed any doubt. Today, 10 years later, we can be part of Elias' success story! With his spices and teas, he brings the taste of Greece to the kitchens of Europe. In the meantime, the cultivation and processing of his plants is carried out with the help of a trained team: all of them people who, like Elias, love the earth and respect nature. Everyone makes sure that the aromas of the products are preserved through gentle handling. The rosemary is harvested with love by hand and gently dried.
