Hibiscus/Bissap Juice

Our natural hibiscus juice is a drink made in an artisanal way from an infusion of hibiscus flowers. Its tangy taste is similar to that of red fruits. The juice contains no chemicals and very little sugar, which helps quench your thirst better. Hibiscus is a tropical plant whose flower, commonly called bissap, is used to prepare traditional thirst-quenching drinks (bissap juice or tea). The purple flower is also called "Guinea sorrel", "Eritrean karkade" or "Abyssinian rose tea". The infusion of hibiscus flowers has a tangy taste similar to that of red fruits. It is an excellent detoxifier and suppresses hunger which promotes weight loss. The flower was considered the flower of love in ancient Egypt. Hibiscus infusion, called the “drink of the pharaohs,” was used as a remedy. The drink can be consumed hot or cold depending on preference. The recipe is inspired by my mother's cooking. BENEFITS: Hibiscus juice helps with weight loss, aids digestion and is a diuretic (cleanses and purifies). It has a refreshing function and acts on the liver against hypertension. It is also a tonic, an analgesic and has antibacterial properties. COMPOSITION: • Water • Hibiscus flower • Sugar (very little) • Lemon • Mint
