These baskets are our own creation, based on the traditional Senegalese seagrass baskets. Instead of the typical plastic fibers, we use natural fibers from West African plants such as the baobab tree to weave these baskets. The fibers of the baobab tree are very strong and are often used to make rope. The women's cooperative of the village of Nngaye has agreed to take on this 'special order' and weave the baskets for us. All baskets are handcrafted one-offs. The baskets can be purchased as a set of 3 or individually. They are very suitable as decorative objects, but also for storing larger objects, toys or blankets. They are very decorative with or without a lid.
