Saffron Krokos Kozanis PDO

Our category 1 saffron comes from Krokos, a small village in northern Greece renowned for its fields of purple Krokus that stretch as far as the eye can see. Our 1 gram box of saffron contains approximately 500 stigmas, i.e. nearly 150 flowers picked by hand, the pistils of which have been carefully removed before being delicately dried. Cultivated here since antiquity, Krokos Kozanis saffron is now protected by an AOP, guaranteeing its exceptional rarity and quality.
