This full-bodied red wine has a range of aromas of various wildflowers and honey, a smoky, raw character with a strong coffee, chocolate and tobacco taste. Old Bridge vineyards were planted in 1998 on the picturesque hills of the Arpa Valley (Vayots Dzor region) at 1100-1250 meters above sea level on exceptional soil with a combination of sand, silt and of clay. This exceptional terroir with a remarkable abundance of light and sunshine gives a long growing season which gives the grapes a unique taste and richness. Hand-harvested and selected grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 25°-28°C for 15-20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in 350 liter Caucasian oak barrels for twenty-four months.
