Madeleine de Souvré, better known as the Marquise de Sablé, introduced the little sablé in July 1670 at the court of the great Condé. She introduced a multitude of small round biscuits to the king's brother, who was won over by these sweets. The Little Sablé was born. This is the story that we find in the good taste of our real Petits Sablés with caramel chips, still made in an artisanal way by the pastry chefs of La Sablésienne and collected by hand.
