The velvety blend of “heart and soul”! This Japanese green tea is a fabulous blend of Sencha green tea and toasted puffed rice with a pleasant green-brown color and a light toasted smell. To taste, JAPAN GENMAICHA N°36 green tea is slightly sweet, with nuances of hazelnut. 

It features a golden green cup and is low in caffeine.

 In order to obtain a perfect genmaicha green tea, it is recommended to infuse it in water between 80° and 90° C for approximately 1.5 minutes. 

You can obviously sweeten it but if you can tolerate green tea without sugar this will allow you to better enjoy its subtle taste.

 Genmaicha green tea is enjoyed hot in winter but also cold in summer, its taste does not alter.

The plantations are mainly located on the islands of Kyūshū and Shikoku.

By “shading” the plants in this way, the chlorophyll content of the leaves is increased, giving the drink a typical and very sweet seaweed flavor. hojicha is a bancha whose leaves are grilled at 180°. kukicha is a green tea made from twigs (), the least rich in theine of traditional teas. matcha is green tea ground into a very fine powder. 

It is mainly produced in Japan, in the Aichi region. 

Unlike other teas, matcha does not steep but must be whisked in hot water with a bamboo whisk (the ) to create an emulsion.
