SICHUAN PEPPER

Sichuan pepper is a spice native to the Sichuan region of China. It is known for its unique taste and complex aroma. Unlike other types of pepper, it does not present a burning heat sensation, but rather a tingling, slightly numbing sensation on the tongue. Sichuan pepper is often used in Chinese cuisine to season meat, fish and vegetable dishes as well as soups and sauces. It is also used in spice blends such as Chinese five spice blend.
