Bitter of Gisallo

A typical Lario bitter, it was created in the 1950s to pay homage to one of the most famous cycling climbs in the world, at the top of which there is a small sanctuary, the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Ghisallo. This sacred place is well known to cycling enthusiasts after the Madonna del Ghisallo was proclaimed by Pope Pius XII in 1946 as the Patron Saint of Cyclists. It was 1948 when the great cyclist Fausto Coppi, nicknamed the Heron or the Champion, elegantly climbed the Ghisallo during the Giro di Lombardia, smashing the record for the climb while the reigning World Champion at the time, Alberic Schotte, struggled and gave up. The Heron seemed to be flying. Since then, this liqueur, created exclusively with herbs found in the geographical area known as the Larian Triangle, has been a well-balanced testimonial for every after-dinner drink or cocktail of the toil of the heroes who reach the top of Ghisallo from Bellagio.   ALC DEGREE.
