A 2-way zipper ensures that you can zip two sleeping bags snugly together; but if it does get too hot, you can unzip the sleeping bag at your feet and you get extra ventilation. The YKK zipper has an anti-snag slider. This prevents the risk of dust between the zipper. This is the most common problem, a zipper that gets stuck and won't open. This happens because there is a piece of fabric in between and it often takes quite a bit of effort and strength to loosen it.
