Lijiang ponies, more commonly known as Yunnan horses, were cherished by farmers because of their stamina and power, which allowed them to drag considerable loads. This world-famous tea comes to us from the same province as these little ponies, Yunnan in China, and has been cultivated according to the same ancestral traditions for centuries.
