The deer, whose real name is the red deer, is the best-known representative of the cervid family. This magnificent mammal, with its crepuscular and even nocturnal habits, lives mainly in the temperate forests of Europe, North Africa, Asia and North America. Recognizable by the two antlers that adorn its head, the deer is a relatively impressive animal that can measure up to 1.50 m at the withers and weigh between 67 and 300 kg! The coat, darker in males, varies according to the seasons: it can be fine and reddish-brown in summer and become thick and gray-brown in winter to protect against the cold.
