The Anglo-Arab is a warm-blooded riding horse breed of French origin. This horse is primarily the result of crossing a Thoroughbred with an Arabian horse. The Anglo-Arab is characterized by its gait, its lightness, its skill, its courage and its strong personality. The Anglo-Arab is generally said to be a good all-round riding horse, very athletic since it itself comes from two breeds with excellent sporting abilities. It is originally a little larger than the Arabian, but its size has tended to increase and it is no longer rare for them to reach 1.66 m at the withers.
