Easily recognizable by its black and white color and the size of its dorsal fin which can reach 2 m, the orca is a marine mammal of great beauty. Also called the killer whale, this formidable predator is present in almost all the world's seas, mainly in cold waters where it hunts fish but also marine mammals (seals, sea lions, dolphins, whales, etc.). These immense creatures can reach a size of 9 m in males and weigh more than 9 tons. Orcas live in small groups of 5 to 10 individuals forming a true family clan. They are very sociable and incredibly easy to train. Like its cousin the dolphin, the orca is one of the most intelligent animals.
