TORRES began its journey in 1969 with Manuel Torres and his wife, Ángeles Medel, whose first steps would shape the path of a long career that continues to this day.
1969
In 1969, Mr. Manuel Torres and his wife, Ángeles Medel, opened a churrería in Premià de Mar.
1985
In a short time, the business experienced such growth that Manuel and Juan, the couple's sons, decided to expand it and move the production of French fries to the Premià de Dalt industrial estate, keeping the churrería open.
nineteen ninety five
The traditional process used by the Torres family means that the quality of their chips is increasingly recognized. In order to meet the growing demand, in 1995, they decided to move to the current Dosrius facilities.
1998
The president of Editorial Office certifies that the company Patatas Fritas Torres has been awarded the XXI International Food and Beverage Trophy in Paris.
1999
The president of Editorial Office certifies that the company Patatas Fritas Torres has been awarded the XXVII International Quality Trophy.
2002
The strong recognition of Torres products, marketed until now only in the Horeca channel, facilitates the introduction of our Artisan Potatoes in the supermarket channel.
2007
Start of international growth with the marketing of our products in the Netherlands.
2011
We carry out a slight restyling of our artisanal packaging to modernize it according to market demands. We maintain our artisanal production process to continue giving the highest quality to the final product.
2012
We modernize the corporate image of Torres. Launch of the Torres Selecta range, with the start of the sale of crisps 100% in extra virgin olive oil, salted Marcona almonds, peeled walnuts and toasted pistachios in shell.
From 2012 to the present day
We have been constantly developing new Premium flavors within the Torres Selecta Range (Black Truffle, Caviar, Iberian Ham, Cured Cheese, La Vera Paprika...).
Launch of the Torres Veggie Range made up of vegetable chips, the Torres Vegan Range made up of legume-based snacks and the most recent Torres Tapas Range, starting with our most traditional Fried Egg flavour.
