Pineau des Charentes Extra Old Rosé 18-19 years old

This very old Pineau Rosé, made from pure Merlot Noir, will have aged for more than 18 years in oak barrels. Its orange color reveals an elegant nose with aromas of Cognac and candied fruit. Its supple and intense mouth reveals notes of cherry jam and prunes. It is aged in 400 liter barrels and prepared for bottling just a few weeks before it is released. Only the years with a good structure are selected for this prolonged ageing. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif, as a digestive, but will also wonderfully flavor your chocolate desserts as well as a cheese platter, or even foie gras.
