Genmaicha is a Japanese green tea preparation that contains roasted and partially puffed rice grains. Genmai means brown rice and cha means tea. Genmaicha can therefore be translated as “rice tea”. Bancha green tea was used in our Genmaicha. Preparation: Put eight grams of Genmaicha in a pot, bring one liter of water to a boil, let it cool for three minutes in a closed kettle and let the infusion steep covered for two minutes. You will receive a delicious, malty-mild tea in a golden-green color. Always store in a cool, dry, airtight and lightproof place.
