The smoked tiger pepper is also known as Malabar pepper and comes from the south-west of India, from the Malarbar coast. The tiger pepper is hand-picked when it is still green and is then dried in the sun. With us it is then smoked over beech wood. It is very aromatic and brings a warm spiciness to the dishes. It is very versatile and goes well with hearty dishes and, thanks to the slightly smoked taste, also goes well with BBQ.
