Matcha bamboo whisk (chasen) 80 strands

The chasen (bamboo whisk) is the essential accessory for preparing matcha tea.  The quality of the whisk and the number of strands are elements that should not be neglected to ensure a tasty drink.   This handcrafted chasen is made from a single piece of natural bamboo cut into very fine strands.   It helps to whisk the powder and water and make the tea homogeneous in a few movements, just a few seconds.  There are several types of bamboo used to make a matcha whisk.  The most common whisk is handmade from white bamboo.   The quantity of strands clearly indicates the quality of the accessory.  We have chosen the 80 strand model which provides simple, quick and even mixing.
