A must have for traditional matcha fans! The bamboo matcha whisk is also called chasen. It is the most traditional tool to prepare your matcha and it has been used for centuries in the authentic Japanese tea ceremony. Traditional chasen is designed to make the perfect matcha green tea. In fact the prongs have two different functions: they help you blend the matcha powder smoothly for a perfect tea texture and they will let the air in the blend so that your matcha is also creamy with a foamy layer. - 100 prongs - Made from organic Bamboo - Authentic Japanese ceremonial design - Helps you create a foamy layer and a smooth velvety finish - Essential tool for traditional Matcha preparation Care instructions Avoid leaving the matcha bamboo whisk in liquids for a long time. The core will bloom after a few uses, however the chasen can still be used. Before the first use: bath your chasen twice: put warm water (no more than 80 degree) in a matcha bowl and bath the whisk in M motions (as you would do to prepare matcha) for about 10-20 seconds. Repeat one more time. Before daily use: always rinse the chasen with warm water before every use.  After use: rinse after every use and allow to dry on a whisk holder before store it. Do not use soap, simply rinse with water and store handle up.
