Deborah is part of a collection inspired by the atmospheres of the mid-twentieth century and the glamor of the film stars of that period. This porcelain figurine takes its name from the protagonist of the film "Once Upon a Time in America" and its aesthetics recall the independence of this character: she wears a butter-colored dress, marked by a brown print on the skirt and a lapel crossed on the chest in a warm orange. The figure is strongly characterized, however, above all by the large hat strongly inclined to the left of the head, which shades the face and covers the hair gathered in a long side chignon. Deborah sits on an oval stool in an olive green color and seems ready to get up to start one of her thousand projects, with her bright gaze wide open on her future. Every object produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the creation of each individual piece and in the production technique which is unmatched and which makes it difficult to imitate. These items are entirely modeled and painted by hand in our laboratory in the province of Vicenza (Italy). The clothes are thin sheets of porcelain, on which textures are imprinted. These sheets are cut according to the dress model and then patiently applied to the body of the statue. The hair styles are also handmade from time to time. On the "bisque" terracotta the faces, clothes and accessories are painted with non-toxic colours; the piece finally undergoes a further firing called "third fire". Any further details are applied at this point to the finished piece.
