2020 Gold R - Vincent Gross DOMAINE GROSS - natural wine, orange wine, Alsace, France. The grape varieties Muscat, Riesling and Gewürztraminer that make up this cuvée and come from the Grand Cru Goldert parcel are harvested at full maturity and macerated for 35 days. Fermentation takes place spontaneously and with native yeasts in a natural way. A 10-month maturation follows, in large wooden barrels. As with all Domaine Gross wines, no additives or sulphites are added. The maceration of the whole grapes brings a lasting straw gold color to the glass and on the nose the Gold R develops a light note of menthol, characteristic of this marl-limestone terroir, as well as hints of dried herbs from the garrigue. On the palate you can taste notes of pepper and a nice aromatic roundness: a wine of great gastronomy!
