Auchnagie was one of several small farm distilleries in the Ballinluig area of Perthshire. All have been destroyed except Edradour and Glenturret which continue to flourish to this day. Auchnagie was founded by James Duff and was eventually purchased by John Dewar & Son who finally dismantled it in 1912 after they built Aberfeldy. On the Nose: Poached pears, pink grapefruit, fresh orange peel, a light biscuit note and a trace of smoke. Palate: Sweet mouthfeel, rich with spice across the tongue. The Finish: Warm and long with a touch of vanilla sponge cake. A wonderfully balanced dram. A modern interpretation of the legendary Auchnagie Highland Distillery. A marriage of 100% aged Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, no added colour, not chill filtered.
