Legionella Water Temperature Thermometer Kit

- Legionellosis thermometer kit. - Water timer allowed. - Box of 35 wipes. - ABS transport case. - Instruction manual - Technical sheet - Certificate of conformity The Legionnaires' Water Temperature Thermometer Kit contains everything needed to monitor water supply temperatures to prevent the growth of Legionella. The thermometer kit includes a rugged, easy-to-use Therma 1 industrial thermometer that operates in a range of -99.9 to 1372°C with a resolution of 0.1°C or 1°C. With a battery life of 10,000 hours, the 1.5 volt AAA batteries will last at least 5 years. The Legionnaires kit includes three different probes for different elements of the water system. The Penetration Temperature Probe can be used to record tap water temperature, the Tape Surface Temperature Probe for the surface of pipes and tanks, and the Wire Probe for any hard to reach areas. Incorrect water temperature is a key risk factor for Legionella growth. Legionella bacteria multiply in water at temperatures between 20 and 45°C, especially if a nutrient supply is present, such as scale, rust, sludge or algae. A typical method of control is to store cold water below 20°C. Hot water should be stored above 60°C and distributed above 50°C. The code now applies to all hot and cold water systems in the workplace, regardless of their capacity, i.e. the lower limit of 300 liters previously used to exclude domestic systems does not no longer applies. Each Legionella thermometer kit contains: - Therma 1 Thermometer - Penetration probe - Precision ribbon surface probe - PTFE wire probe - Kitchen Timer - Carton of 35 wipes - ABS carrying case LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEGIONELLA TEST If you are the employer or the person responsible for the premises, you must organize a risk assessment for exposure to legionella. The revised version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) on Legionnaires' disease: Control of bacterial Legionella in water systems (L8) published by the Government of Health and Safety (HSE) extends to the scope of its directives on combating legionella in water. While domestic systems may represent a hazard, the code applies only to a hazard arising from work activity, but includes domestic landlords who have a duty to protect their tenants from health hazards. 0.1°C range: -99.9 to 299.9°C 1°C range: 300 to 1372°C Resolution: 0.1°C and 1°C Accuracy: ±0.4°C ±0.1% Battery: 3 x 1.5 volt AAA Battery life: minimum 5 years (10000 hours) Sensor Type: Thermocouple K Display: 12mm LCD Dimensions: 25 x 56 x 128mm Weight: 130 grams Housing: ABS plastic with Biomaster antibacterial additive Warranty: two years Measurement scale: Celsius Certification: FREE Traceable Calibration Certificate
