The Chai traditional drink of India, and yogi.... It is indeed an Ayurvedic drink, whose invigorating, warming properties are only linked to the choice of spices. The mixture does not contain tea leaves and therefore neither theine nor caffeine. We have been preparing this mixture since 2005, with: > A base of cinnamon from Madagascar, a Ceylon variety cinnamon with subtle flavors ideal for water/milk infusions. > A green cardamom from India that we import directly from southern India, (Bodinayakanur - Tamil Nadu). > The usual spices of the traditional recipe from South India (ginger / fennel accord). > A barely perceptible hint of pepper warms us up on winter mornings :). > A hint of star anise Sweet and generously spiced, chai (or masala chai) can be enjoyed all day long, in the morning it warms up, after lunch it replaces coffee and promotes digestion. At tea time it's an exotic break. PREPARATION Traditional recipe with milk or a variety of vegetable milk (recipe on the back of the sachet) For a large cup or bowl: 1. In a saucepan, boil 1 to 2 tbsp. coffee Chai Mix with a little milk. Traditionally, the milk and spices are “whipped” at least 3 times to fully extract the aromas. 2. Add cold water and possibly black tea or rooibos. 3. Heat again and leave to infuse for 5 minutes. 4. Filter with a colander. INGREDIENTS: Cinnamon from Madagascar, ginger, cardamom, fennel, cloves, black pepper. star anise 2%. Crushed spices about 5 mm. PACKAGING: Resealable kraft freshness bag.
