CERTIFIED ORGANIC SUITABLE FOR BULK SALE The VIJAYA Brazil Nut, ivory in color, covered with a thin brown skin, is native to South America. Its sweet and woody flavor will delight your aperitifs and culinary preparations. The Brazil nut can only survive in the rainforest. Large brown and very hard shells (about the size of a coconut) grow at the top of the tree. Once mature, they fall to the ground and are then harvested. These shells contain around fifteen woody capsules which themselves contain the nuts. HOW TO CONSUME IT: Plain, as a snack. For the aperitif, it can be grilled, salted or plain, alone or accompanied (almond, pine nut, walnut, macadamia and/or dried fruit…). Whole or crushed, caramelized or as is, it can be incorporated into green, mixed or fresh fruit salads. Crushed, it fits into savory pies, simmered vegetables, cereals and legumes, meat stews. Pureed or reduced to powder, it turns into vegetable cheese or cream for pastries (replacing butter). It can be incorporated or sprinkled on desserts: pies, crumbles, brownies, cookies, ice creams and sorbets, vegetable milks, chocolate fondue. STORAGE TIPS: In order to keep all its qualities, we advise you to keep this product in a cool, dry place, away from air and light.
