Riesling Gutswein 2021

Our Riesling in the estate wine segment clearly shows its origin and varietal typicity, but in the 21 version it clearly puts drinking pleasure in the foreground.The label says “dry,” but that doesn’t really matter here. Balance is what matters, and this Riesling has found its balance exactly between dry and semi-dry. Surprisingly, it is now well received by both target audiences.Even smelling it is fun and, with strong notes of apricots and apples, gives an idea of what might follow at the first sip. With its residual sweetness, however, the Riesling-typical aromas are first conveyed to the corners of the mouth, which are immediately lifted, not only among Riesling friends. As the wine continues its journey across the tongue, the first fruity notes and even the first mineral tingle unfold. What follows lasts a long time. Perhaps longer than befits an Estate Wine?After setting the glass down, limes, citrus fruits, young apricots remain. The pleasant acidity is well balanced and leads to a great density and almost some melting.
