When my daughter Lia rewritten the children's song “Aramsamsam” at the kitchen table, I knew: of all the names we had talked about with family and friends, 8samsam best expresses what we want to achieve. The world needs sustainable products, but even more urgently a sustainable way of living. 8samsam stands for a decelerated and mindful lifestyle that parents and children experience together - playfully and with a lot of fun.
Children who learn to take care of themselves early on have a source of strength for life. And when mom and dad use the time together to find themselves, they too go through everyday life strengthened. Our products help mothers and fathers immerse themselves in the world of yoga and relaxation together with their children. The right time to start is now. A weekly yoga class is nice, but it doesn't replace daily slow time, perhaps our most precious 15 or 30 minutes.
Who is behind 8samsam?
My name is Fei Schäfer. I am 37 years old and a German entrepreneur with roots in China. My daughters Anna (3) and Lia (8) are growing up with children's yoga. Because a sustainable lifestyle requires rituals and good habits. As a working mother, I know how important it is to maintain the strength of inner calm in these fast-paced times. I have discovered yoga and meditation as a good path that I want to take not only with my children, but also with you.
As a product developer for toys and high-quality gift items, I have had the needs of children and adults in mind for more than 15 years. That's why I've made it my mission to develop high-quality products that help parents and children discover the 8samsam lifestyle.

It starts with our children's yoga mat YOGITIER and the family sets: it combines cheerful animal designs with practical handling, high quality workmanship and durability. Mindfulness means seeing people as a whole with their feelings and needs. Our products should appeal to you and your children, feel good and be beautiful. We have achieved this if you enjoy our products for a long time. That's why at YOGITIER we rely on durable natural rubber under a soft, easy-to-clean microfiber velor surface. When it comes to packaging, we avoid unnecessary plastics and use FSC-certified paper.
