Our company history
The product line "SCHETTLERs nur Natur" was logically created after a long conscious handling of food and cosmetics. I started to change my way of life more than 20 years ago: natural products, purchase from regional and ecological farmers and craftsmen, renunciation of artificial chemical additives.
The search for a completely natural dentifrice, however, came to an end without success. In 2014, the idea of producing our own toothbrush powder was born. Many years, many experiments - in 2018 a recipe was found. Relatives and friends tested the powder extensively, making it ready for commercial production in 2020.
We now produce - we now run the company in pairs - 6 varieties with different requirements and flavors.
Our chalk:
The Rügener Dreikronen healing chalk is produced on the island of Rügen. After mining, it is cleaned and finely ground. The chalk particles with a size of less than 3 microns are ideal for cleaning teeth, as they do not attack the tooth enamel due to their low hardness, but remineralize it.
Our salt:
In the Kieler Ostseesalzmanufaktur, pure sea salt is produced using a manual boiling process. The Baltic Sea water is finely filtered and boiled in stovetop pans for several hours. What remains is a delicately aromatic salt; no release agents or similar substances are added.
The salt dissolves immediately in the mouth and has a disinfecting effect.
Our herbs:
We obtain many of the dried herbs we use from the Pommerland organic herb garden. They are delivered as raw goods and ground into powder by us; our spices come from various organic spice dealers in Germany.
Our promise:
SCHETTLER's tooth cleaning powder is suitable for all age groups, for pregnant women and also for animals. Our powders are particularly recommended for children and old people: They can be swallowed because we only use natural and - in this concentration - harmless ingredients.
SCHETTLER's Type 4 powder is particularly recommended for irritated gums, as it contains no salt but instead a mixture of herbs that have been known for their anti-inflammatory effects for centuries.
Various studies have shown that the use of medicinal chalk for tooth cleaning is superior to almost all artificial chemical toothpastes. The cleaning bodies clean gently and very effectively with daily use. Chalk is alkaline and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
SCHETTLER's tooth cleaning powders are the only commercially available tooth cleaning powders that are made exclusively from natural ingredients.
