Klevener de Heiligenstein Cuvée "Z"

The rose savagnin used to produce this Klevener de Heiligenstein comes from old vines and harvested late. The wine is all the more concentrated and sweet. A non-aromatic selection of Savagnin rose (Traminer), it is a grape that is only cultivated on the Heiligenstein ban and a few neighboring villages including Gertwiller. Visually very similar to Gewurztraminer, its clusters are more winged and more fleshy. Bright color with yellow highlights. Expressive nose with beautiful floral notes. Beautiful length in the mouth with floral notes and a lovely bitterness very characteristic of the grape variety. Perfect aging wine! Makes a very pleasant wine whose finesse goes well with terrines, white meats, tarts flambées as well as fish with a cream sauce or foie gras.
