Our Nutmeg essential oil, in 10 ml format, is extracted from the seeds of the nutmeg fruit, by our producers in Sri Lanka. This essential oil offers a rich, woody and slightly sweet scent reminiscent of Christmas spices. Nutmeg is extracted from the nutmeg tree, an evergreen tree renowned for its fragrance, which can reach a height of 9 to 18 meters. It is native to the Moluccas Islands in Indonesia, but it is also grown in other tropical regions. Harvesting nutmeg is a delicate process. The fruits of the nutmeg tree take approximately 7 to 9 months to mature. Nutmeg is used as a spice in many cuisines around the world. It is grated or ground just before use to preserve its intense flavor. In addition to its culinary use, nutmeg has a rich history as a remedy and symbol of protection.
