NIGELLE black cumin - eco

Aromatic nigella is an annual plant that grows naturally in the Middle East, North Africa and southern Europe. 

These have been harvested and used since Antiquity for many uses, notably in cooking with its scent of cumin and lemon with a slight mineral pungency which gives a slight bitterness. 

Nigella black cumin is used as seeds and will offer a more subtle and diffuse fragrance, the seeds are preferred for all sauced dishes. 

Ground nigella seeds will give an intense flavor, while remaining discreet, because the powder will mix with food.   You can use it to sprinkle your breads, pastries, naans or cheeses. 

It is included in the composition of the Panch Phoron mixture or the ras el hanout spice mixture, as well as in many mixtures. 

The seeds, whole or ground, flavor vegetables, curries or fish. 

They are perfect with stewed vegetables, eggplant purees, ratatouilles or in cold accompanying sauces such as mayonnaise.
