CHATEAU BALAC 2016 HAUT MEDOC AOP

Château Balac, owned by the Touchais family since 1964, is now run by Lionel Touchais, the third generation on the estate. Located on a very sunny gravelly ridge which had long made the reputation of this cru, Château Balac enjoys a privileged location on the main Bordeaux-Soulac road axis near the grands crus. The vineyard of Chateau Balac, 35 years old on average, has now reached maturity to produce rich and balanced wines, on soil composed of gravel and clay-limestone and sandy-loam soils. The estate began a conversion to organic farming in 2019.
