Organic apricot kernel vegetable oil - 50 ml

Apricot vegetable oil is the oil for dull complexions, tired and asphyxiated skin. It is also an ideal oil in first wrinkle care for normal skin and an excellent base for massage oils. Easy to use and with a very neutral scent, it is an essential DIY ingredient. Properties : - Healthy glow effect: rich in beta-carotenes, it activates the production of melanin and gradually gives a nice complexion; - Antioxidant: it prevents the appearance of wrinkles; - Nourishing and moisturizing: it softens the skin and visibly reduces fine lines; - Revitalizing and regenerating: it promotes cell renewal. Composition : Apricot kernel oil is rich in linoleic acid (Omega 6), it contains between 25 and 35%. This fatty acid is involved in the production and regeneration of cell membranes. It also participates in the production of ceramides, the epidermis barrier that protects against dehydration and external aggressions. Ceramides act as a "cement" that maintains the cohesion of the different elements that make up the skin. It also contains oleic acid in large quantities (more than 60%). It is a fatty acid (Omega 9) which has very nourishing, restorative and healing properties. Apricot Kernel Oil also contains vitamins: - Vitamin A, which gives it its pale yellow color. allows a light exfoliating action that will help the skin get rid of dead cells. Skin texture is refined and cell renewal is stimulated. In depth, vitamin A will boost the production of collagen and elastin, with a small photo-protective action; - Vitamin E, powerful natural anti-oxidant, which also has a nourishing action. It also contains phytosterols which improve the "barrier" function of the skin and protect it against external aggressions. Identify : Apricot kernel vegetable oil (Latin name: prunus armeniaca) is obtained by cold pressing small tender almonds contained in apricot kernels. It is a very pale yellow to light orange oil. It has a light fragrance reminiscent of bitter almonds or cereals. It is an oil with a slightly greasy touch which will be advantageously mixed with drier oils for better penetration. Use: Apricot oil is one of the essential oils for dry, dull, tired, asphyxiated skin. It awakens tired complexions and gives a healthy glow. It will be used advantageously for all areas where the skin is damaged: hands, face, neckline, but also "crocodile skin" on dry legs and feet. For all these qualities, it is also a good base for restorative preparations for sunburn. Apricot oil can be used instead of a night cream on all mature skin and/or tired complexions. Apricot oil is also an excellent base oil for body massages. Very penetrating, it allows the deep penetration of the essential oils chosen for the massage. For children, we prefer sweet almond oil. Ecological impact: Our vegetable apricot kernel oil was grown in Turkey, in the Mediterranean basin. We favor it in our recipes because its ecological impact is minimal. We try to use ingredients from plants grown close to home and we take advantage of all the riches of the Mediterranean basin. A little history.. Apricot Kernel Oil, in Latin "Prunus armeniaca rosaceae". The apricot tree is native to mountainous regions of China where it has been cultivated since the 3rd century BC. It then passed through the Near East, and Armenia from where it takes its Latin name, to settle in all the Mediterranean Basin. However, until the 18th century, the apricot did not have a good reputation. Doctors at the time considered it to bring fevers and digestive problems. Apricot kernel oil, like all oils derived from kernels and pips of the prunus genus, contains amygdalin (also called vitamin B17). This compound is said to have anti-cancer effects and has been very popular for these properties. However, these anti-cancer properties have not been demonstrated and amygdalyn under the effect of digestive enzymes, releases cyanide, a well-known poison. It is therefore not recommended to ingest Apricot Kernel oil, except occasionally, to flavor a cake for example, but these are very small quantities that do not present any danger. It's the same thing for the apricot kernels that we put in our jams: there are few of them and therefore no risk of poisoning. It would take several dozen to cause severe poisoning!
