Parlementia Streetwear

Originally, Parlementia was a hill facing the ocean between 2 Basque villages, Bidart and Guéthary. In the 17th century whalers fought over the waters, until they decided to settle their differences differently, by parley at the top of the hill. The hill had no name, it was paid homage by baptizing it Parlementia. A chapel, Saint Joseph, was even erected there to serve as a parliament between the 2 villages and to welcome all those who were not accepted elsewhere. At the end of the 20th century, Parlementia gave its name to the beach, then to the mythical wave that rolls offshore when the surf landed in California. Today, Parlementia is much more than a clothing brand: it is also a web radio, a music label and a unique place to live overlooking the spot in Guéthary. We arrive alone or in a group to eat a snack at the coffee shop, leaf through beautiful books, unearth a vintage Hawaiian shirt or a legendary vinyl by checking the wave, while in the workshop below we manufacture the latest novelties. Parlementia is a “Sea, Street and Surf” state of mind bathed in music, a mix of energy and chill, a lifestyle with good communicative vibes.
