
Green Umami is a unique blend that brings umami flavor – the 5th flavor of our palate. Umami flavor originates from Japanese cuisine and enhances the flavor of foods. In the food industry, this flavor is usually obtained from glutamate (which is harmful to health), particularly in broths and flavor enhancers. In our Green Umami blend, it is the blue trigonella in combination with hemp that is at the origin of this flavor sensation. Hemp seeds provide a crunchy flavor, aromatic herbs and nutmeg bring a nice roundness. Green Umami will work wonders on your vegetables, especially potatoes with a little cream cheese, or to make fromage blanc sauces to accompany your raw vegetables. This mix is actually a happy accident: we wanted to develop a salad mix and we got this result. Although it can be used for salads, we found it tasted even better with vegetables.
