Giant King puer shu (cooked) tea is a fully fermented product from Yunnan. More specifically, these leaves were collected and fermented for two months in the Simao area. A peculiarity that immediately catches the eye when looking at this tea is that it is mainly composed of buds that are also quite large compared to those that can be found in puer shu. This peculiarity gives us the opportunity to experience the effects of fermentation on the buds that are generally reserved for other categories of tea and therefore the result you will have in the cup will be unique. During the tasting, first of all you will notice that the flavor due to fermentation will not be earthy and humid as it happens for most puer shu but it will be drier, almost reminiscent of clay. Only after a few sips will you clearly notice some of the typical characteristics of these teas such as a marked mineral and a slight refreshing effect in the mouth.
