The story of Yalda is the story of the rediscovery of my Persian roots.
I am an artist and graphic designer from Iran. When I studied and worked in Iran, I always tried to stay away from the clichés of my own tradition: I wanted my creations to be global...
Then I lived and created art in Turkey, France, Norway, South Korea and Central Asia applying my personal perspective to these new contexts. Combining my gaze with the traditions, environments and societies of these countries was a fascinating journey and stimulated my creativity.
It was in 2016 that I finally realized how fertile the same approach could be if applied to my own Persian cultural heritage. Yalda Concept Store Persian was born this way, to share the unique design products that I create inspired by my culture.
