CHEMEX - 8 CUPS

Chemex The Chemex coffee maker was invented in 1941 by Dr. Peter Schlumbohm. On permanent display at New York's MOMA and other museums, Chemex is a true work of art. Chemex is a family business with headquarters located in Western Massachusetts. Place where Chemex coffee makers, filters, kettles and accessories are manufactured and then distributed worldwide. The iconic Chemex has remained unchanged for 70 years and counting. The sleekly designed 8-cup Chemex, with its wooden collar and leather strap, enhances the ritual of coffee infusion. At the same time, it is able to offer exceptionally aromatic liqueurs. The coffees offered by Chemex will be pure, round and balanced thanks to its shape and the particularity of its filters. The different steps : - Fold the paper filter and place it on the edge of the carafe. - Wet the filter with a little hot water before adding the coffee. - Pour a first dose of water, making sure to wet all the grinds and let stand for a moment before continuing to pour the water. - Pour the 2nd and last dose of water which will give you the profile of your drink! N.B: If the extraction is fast (less than 3 min), the liquor will be less full-bodied than if it is done slowly (3 min and +). Aromatic profile: Unlike other filter coffee makers, the Chemex produces smoother coffees with an incomparable feeling of purity and consistency. Recommended grind: medium (slightly finer than for a French press) Dosage: 28 g of coffee for 300 ml of water Filter paper not included
