Carefully selected by Kirstie Mccallum, the result of this finish makes the whiskey smooth and spicy, with an unexpected maturity. Sourced from the family-owned Kelvin cooperage in Kentucky, Norway, the barrels were heavily charred before being transported to our maturation rooms at the Deanston Distillery. As its name suggests, after being aged in ex-bourbon casks, the Deanston Virgin Oak single malt has benefited from further aging in new American oak casks.
