Made on the Isle of Islay, the fresh and vibrant Stiùireadair (pronounced stew-rahdur) is often compared to a “sea storm”. The particularity of this whiskey from Islay is that it is not peated, only iodized. These saline notes are the signature of the Bunnahabhain distillery. This Single malt whiskey will surprise connoisseurs with its salty smoothness. Its aging in ex-Sherry casks gives it aromas of dried fruits. Aged in sherry casks. The name Bunnahabhain, which means “mouth of the river”, refers to the Margadale River whose spring water is used during distillation. Established in 1881, the Bunnahabhain Distillery is built near the Margadale River in the northeast of the island of Islay. It is the only distillery on the island to use natural spring water without the influence of peat. It also has the largest stills in Islay from which it produces a light, aromatic and complex alcohol.
