Saint Nectaire Farmhouse Cheese AOP

SAINT NECTAIRE AOP MARIE-ANNE CANTIN selection. Saint-Nectaire is a very old cheese. It was Marshal of France Henri de La Ferté-Senneterre who gave it its name, by deformation of his surname. As always, farmhouse cheeses have a much more interesting flavor. They represent approximately 45% of total production. The soft paste of Saint-Nectaire farmhouse cheese is fruity and its characteristic local flavor smells of straw. It is consumed at two stages of ripening: either creamy or dry. In the latter case, it is somewhat reminiscent of Savoie cheese. Saint-Nectaire can be enjoyed for breakfast or at the end of a meal. It is readily transformed into a unique cheese.
