Our story began in 1922 in the seaside village of Sant’Erasmo, located a few steps from the port of Palermo. When Nonno Ciccio Macaluso with his fleet of fishing boats brought the best fish varieties ashore every day: bluefin tuna, anchovies and mackerel and worked them in the small factory located near the marina. At the time, fish was preserved in salted milk, only a few years later the family also began the most modern preservation in oil, expanding the factory and purchasing new cutting-edge machinery. Alongside the fishing activity, it develops the conservation of both yellow fin and Mediterranean tuna, becoming an important reality in the fishing sector in the 60-70s. Even today we faithfully carry out the ancient recipe in water and salt as per tradition and offer high quality tuna steaks and fillets.
