The first Italian white wine to bear the DOCG seal of quality since 1987 is based on it - the highest recognition for an Italian wine. According to legend, Galla Placidia, daughter of the Roman Emperor Theodosius, tasted a wine in a modest terracotta goblet in Romagna and then exclaimed: "Oh wine, you are worth a golden goblet to drink!". The name of the city is said to have originated from this saying: 'Berti In Oro'. Which means 'drink you of gold. COLOR This white wine presents itself golden due to a late harvest. ODOR Its scent is fruity and savory: a wine of elegant and exuberant olfactory intensity with soft, ripe and spicy notes. Grades. TASTE A captivating complexity. apricots and dried fruit. PARTICULARITIES Grapes that are carefully selected in the vineyard and some of which are harvested by hand are loaded into small crates and then gently placed in the press. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. The aging period varies between 180 and 240 days. It finally gets its final depth of flavor within four to five months in the bottle.
